The Casey Service Club is the house corporation of Fr. Bally Council # 1192. Its purpose is the ownership, operation and maintenance of the buildings, property and social quarters located off Constitution Avenue in Stowe, PA. The club derives its name from the first initials of Knights of Columbus or “KC.”
Founded in 1948, “Casey” was initially headquartered at the Holy Trinity Club on South Street, in Pottstown. After several relocations within Pottstown, the club purchased the five acre property of the former Stowe Athletic Association in 1966. After two years of improvements (mostly done by volunteers), the Council officially relocated to the current site. Today, the property consists of one large building containing the upstairs hall and downstairs social quarters; a storage facility; and two pavilions. A volleyball court and quoits pits compliment the picnic area. The hall and picnic grove are available for rental. Both hall and social quarters are handicapped accessible. Parking for the picnic grove and social hall is never a problem. A kitchen is available with the hall. Outside catering is welcomed for both venues.
All members of Father Bally Council, its Ladies’ Auxiliary and Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Assembly are automatically members of “Casey.” Social members have been admitted since 1983. Individuals seeking social membership submit a completed and signed application which is reviewed and voted upon by the Casey Service Club Board of Directors. Directors are elected by the Fr. Bally Council membership.
The club sponsors two pool and two shuffleboard teams in the Pottstown Clubmen’s League; a dart team in the Berks-Mont League, and a golf league. Pool, darts and shuffleboard are available for all members and their families’ use, as well. The club is actively involved in charity and also supports charitable programs of Fr. Bally Council.
“Casey” welcomes you to visit our home soon.
